Research Interests
One main research topic of our department is (neuro-inspired) signal processing for all kinds of applications. This includes especially all applications directly related to a more or less direct information exchange via different types of sensors and actuators with the nervous system (BCI, biofeedback etc.). Our research group recently focused as well on the topic of conscious detection in completely locked-in state patients and on Spiking Neural Networks incorporating synaptic dynamics and modelling
Available PhD projects
Currently we work in the field of tACS and BCI-driven rehabilitation. Beside these fields, we want to strengthen the area of neuro-inspired signal processing, namely in the field of modelling synaptic plasticity for SNN.
