Arriving in Leipzig
You are about to travel to Germany and still have not found a flat or a room? Don’t worry. Start your time in Leipzig in a Hostel, AirBnB or by using "Zwischenmiete" (short term rooms – students that go for a short period of time abroad often rent their full-furnished rooms). Once in Leipzig, it might be easier for you to find an accommodation.
One of the first things you need to do, after arriving in Leipzig is registering yourself as a resident at a Resident Services Office. The MPI CBS international office will help and accompany you for this appointment.
To register please bring a tenant confirmation from your landlord (even if your landlord currently is the tenant of the flat you are short-term renting) and your passport.
More information can be found here or contact the MPI CBS international office.
