11th IMPRS NeuroCom Summer School

of the IMPRS NeuroCom at MPI CBS Leipzig, Germany

We are pleased to invite you to register for the 11th IMPRS NeuroCom summer school, which will take place from 27-29 June 2022 as a hybrid event of the IMPRS NeuroCom at MPI CBS, Leipzig. The overarching topic of the summer school is "Computational Models in Cognitive Neuroscience". We are looking forward to inspiring talks given by international experts in this field.

The summer school will bring together renowned scientists, postdocs and early career researchers to discuss some key topics of computational modeling in cognitive neuroscience.

Lectures will cover the following areas:

  • Computational models in language and communication
  • Computational models in cognitive and affective neuroscience
  • Computational models in basic and clinical neuroscience
  • Computational models in neuroimaging physics and signal processing
  • Ethical implications of computational models in neuroscience

We will also offer small group workshops. In addition, participants are invited to present their current work in form of a poster. All posters will be shared in interactive online poster sessions with other students and the poster judges. The summer school committee will award a poster prize to the best poster. Posters can present either a complete study OR a plan for a proposed study.

Due to the pandemic situation and the difficulty related to planning large events, the organization committee decided to offer the possibility of on-site participation for PhD students of IMPRS NeuroCom only. In addition, a limited number of external participants is invited to join the summer school virtually.

External students interested in participating, are invited to submit a short statement of their motivation to attend the summer school, including a statement of diversity. Furthermore, external applicants are required to upload a pdf-document with their curriculum vitae. Selection of suitable participants will be based on scientific as well as diversity criteria.
