Research Interests

Our lab conducts research from a developmental psychopathology perspective, with the following aims:

  1. identifying the multilevel factors (e.g., developmental, psychological, social, genomic) that act jointly to set in motion pathways to maladjustment or resilience of a given child or adolescent

  2. illuminating the neural and biological mechanisms underpinning stress-related psychopathology (e.g., internalizing and externalizing disorders, childhood obesity)

  3. assessing the effectiveness of psychological prevention/ intervention programs, including the mediators and moderators of treatment success

Available PhD projects

Our current projects primarily focus on multilevel risk factors (e.g., HPA axis activity, autonomic/ vagal regulation, maltreatment, parenting, emotion-regulation) for internalizing disorders and the effectiveness of prevention and intervention protocols in early childhood.
